WHO I AM
HEIR OF ART, passionate about authenticity, curious as a cat

My journey into photography began in 2005, while I was working on my thesis on virtual reality. That was when I discovered an extraordinary world, tailor-made for me.
Only later did I learn that my grandfather had been a great photography enthusiast: with endless patience, he had even built himself an enlarger, which had then remained locked away in the attic for decades.
Today, that enlarger is in my darkroom, and I proudly use it to print my works. It is a silent and powerful connection to him, a precious legacy that lives on through each of my prints.

WHAT I DO
I have nearly twenty years of experience in wedding photography, a field I have always approached as a visual narrative, filled with authentic and emotional images.
My passion for reportage was the spark that started it all: telling stories through photographs is the heart of my work.
Over the years, I’ve expanded my horizons by embracing analog photography, from wetplate collodion to silver salts, using medium format cameras and handcrafting large-format devices for unique results.
I also explore infrared photography to create evocative landscapes and portraits, and more recently (in 2024), I introduced instant photography—a new chapter that adds a touch of immediacy and spontaneity to my photographic journey.
I exhibited at the Milan Photo Fair in 2021 with the Fine Art Photo gallery and worked alongside Emilio Tini on high-fashion sets, also in Milan.

ANALOG PHOTOGRAPHY
“DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY IS A SCIENCE, FILM PHOTOGRAPHY IS A CHEMICAL MIRACLE” – Steven Spilberg
This quote encapsulates my passion for analog photography.
It’s a process that engages the hands, the heart, and patience; it demands a deep understanding of light, matter, and time.
And perhaps it is the only anchor that will keep us connected to visual reality, at least in the near future, after the advent of syntography.

ANCIENT PRINTS
An extraordinary bridge between digital and analog photography.
Today, the digital photographs we take often end up forgotten, destined for oblivion as the years go by. For me, combining digital photography with handcrafted printing using ancient techniques (or silver salts on baryta paper) is a way to give an authentic future to the images I cherish most, in a form that is anything but ordinary. Hand printing means creating a deep and unique connection with the subject, a bond that goes far beyond a simple inkjet print.

I also take photographs digitally, of course. Artistically, I am particularly dedicated to infrared photography and portraiture, which I then print using alternative techniques or in the darkroom on baryta paper.
Over time, I have created reportage of cultural events across Italy, some of which are featured on my blog.
